Why We Put a Service Department on Wheels
At Weirs GMC, we've been taking care of Southern Maine drivers for more than 65 years, and we hear the same thing every week: "I know it's due, I just can't get there." A contractor in Biddeford can't park a work truck for half a day in October. A nurse working shifts at Maine Med in Portland isn't free during our service hours. A family in Kennebunk has two kids, one car, and zero time.
So we're bringing the service department to them. Our mobile GMC service is part of GM's MobileService+ program, which lets certified dealers perform select maintenance and repairs at your home or workplace. Same technicians, same GM parts, same service history on your vehicle as if you'd pulled into our Arundel service center.
We're building this around two kinds of customers: busy households who want maintenance done in the driveway, and local businesses who can't afford downtime on their trucks and vans. And you don't need to drive a GMC. We service all makes.
What We Can Do in Your Driveway
Our mobile unit handles the routine maintenance and light repair that makes up most service visits. If a job needs a lift or heavy equipment, we'll tell you up front and schedule it at the shop instead.

Genuine GM filters and the oil spec your engine calls for, with the oil life monitor reset before we leave.
Diagnostics
Check engine light on? We can scan and diagnose on-site, so if a part is needed it's often ordered before your vehicle ever comes in.
Software Updates & Select Recalls
Many GM software updates and select recall repairs can be done right where you're parked. Not sure if you have an open recall? We'll check your VIN.
Batteries
Testing and replacement. Maine cold is hard on batteries, and a driveway swap beats a jump start in a parking lot in January.
Wipers, Filters & Fluids
Wiper blades, engine and cabin air filters, and fluid checks and top-offs, the small stuff that matters on I-95 in a February sleet storm.
Multi-Point Inspection
Every visit includes a visual check of tires, fluids, belts, hoses, lights and wipers, the things we can see without a lift, with findings sent to you digitally so you can decide what's next.

When a job has to come to the shop, we'll pick it up. Our pickup and delivery service brings your vehicle to Arundel and back, so you still don't have to make the drive.

How Mobile Service Works
1. Book It
Schedule online or call. Tell us the vehicle, the service and where it'll be parked.
2. We Confirm
We check that the job can be done mobile and that the parts are on the truck before we roll.
3. We Show Up
A Weirs technician arrives in our branded mobile vehicle. You don't need to be outside, just leave us access.
4. You Get the Report
Inspection findings and your invoice are sent to you digitally. Anything bigger, we pick up and handle at the shop.
Hours: mobile appointments start in the morning and run until 5 PM, while our shop is fully staffed to back up the technician in the field.
Planning ahead for Maine weather: mobile service runs on scheduled appointments, not emergency calls. If a storm rolls in, we'll reach out and reschedule. It's not roadside assistance, so if you're stuck on the side of Route 1, call roadside first.
GM MobileService+ Subscriptions
If you bought a newer GMC or Buick, check your window sticker. Many GM vehicles offer MobileService+ as a subscription, which covers mobile service visits and, when a job has to come to the dealer, pickup and delivery. Owners can also add it after purchase.

Mobile Service in Greater Portland
If you live or work in Portland, Scarborough, South Portland or Westbrook, you don't have to pick the closest service department anymore. You can pick the one that comes to you.
We see it all the time: someone drives a GMC they bought elsewhere, or a Toyota, Ford or Subaru, and servicing it means losing a morning to Route 1 traffic or the Maine Mall corridor. Now we'll handle it at your house in Cape Elizabeth, your office in the Old Port, or your shop off Route 1 in Scarborough, and bring it to Arundel only if the job needs a lift.
Warranty work on a GM vehicle can be done at any GM dealer, and routine maintenance on any make can be done by any qualified shop. Where you get your service is your call.

What is mobile car service?
Mobile service means a technician comes to where your vehicle is, at home, at work or at your fleet yard, instead of you bringing it to the dealership. At Weirs GMC, our mobile unit handles routine maintenance, diagnostics, software updates, select recalls and light repairs across Southern Maine.
Where does Weirs GMC offer mobile service?
We're based in Arundel and cover Southern Maine, including Portland, Scarborough, South Portland, Westbrook, Saco, Biddeford, Kennebunk and nearby towns. If you're just outside our area, call us, especially for fleet accounts.
Do you service vehicles that aren't GMC?
Yes. Our mobile service is open to all makes, including Chevrolet, Ford, Ram, Toyota, Honda, Subaru and more. Mixed business fleets can put every vehicle on one account.
What if my vehicle needs work that can't be done on-site?
We'll pick it up. Our pickup and delivery service brings your vehicle to our Arundel shop and returns it when the work is done.
What services can be done in my driveway?
Oil and filter changes, diagnostics, software updates, select recalls, battery testing and replacement, wipers, air filters, fluid checks and multi-point inspections. Brake work, tire rotations, tire mounting and balancing, alignments, anything that needs a lift and major repairs are done at our shop, and we can pick your vehicle up for those.
What hours does mobile service run?
Mobile appointments start in the morning and run until 5 PM, during our shop hours, so our full service team is available to back up the technician in the field.
Do I have to be home during the appointment?
No. As long as we can access the vehicle and have the keys arranged, you can be at work or inside. We send your inspection results and invoice to you digitally.
Is mobile service the same quality as bringing it to the dealership?
Yes. The work is done by Weirs GMC technicians, with genuine GM parts on GM vehicles, and it goes on your vehicle's service record just like a shop visit.
What is GM MobileService+?
MobileService+ is GM's program that lets participating dealers perform scheduled service at your home or workplace. Many newer GM vehicles offer it as a subscription, and owners can add it after purchase. You can also book mobile service with Weirs without a subscription. Ask about current pricing.
Do you offer mobile fleet maintenance for businesses?
Yes. Fleet service is a big part of why we launched mobile. We come to your yard or job site, service multiple vehicles per visit, check every VIN for open recalls, and assign a dedicated advisor.
Can you do my Maine state inspection at my house?
Maine state inspections are done at our licensed inspection station in Arundel. We can handle your maintenance on-site and schedule your inspection at the shop.
Is mobile service the same as roadside assistance?
No. Mobile service is scheduled maintenance and repair. If you're broken down or stuck, contact roadside assistance first, then call us to get the repair scheduled.
What happens if it snows on my appointment day?
This is Maine, so we plan for it. If the weather makes on-site work unsafe, we'll contact you to reschedule.
